The new ..is here!
================== ARTICLE START ==================
Have you noticed yet that more and more people around the world
want to work from home and make money online?
Have you ever wished you could just wake up whenever you want,
have a cup of coffee, turn on your computer, work for a couple
of hours online, and then spend your time with your family and
hobbies? Indeed, working from home gives a lot of benefits,
freedom and income.
However, many people wrongfully think that making good money
online requires a website and huge investment. Here's a fact:
you can start making hundreds of dollars per month within weeks
with no upfront fees and even without a website.
How?
Affiliate marketing allows you to earn commissions for selling
other people's products or services online. As you study every
word of this article you will become amazed at how easy it will
be for you to get started earning cash on the Internet because
you can join any affiliate network at no cost.
For example, you can join Clickbank:
http://www.webmastertools4u.com/cgi-bin/jump.cgi?ID=4
In order to learn more about marketing Clickbank products, make
sure to read their website, FAQs and information in your
member's area.
Then go to Clickbank's "Marketplace" and browse the categories
that interest you. When you find a product that interests you,
visit it's pitch page and read the sales letter. I even suggest
you buying the product that interests you. You'll understand why
this will increase your affiliate earnings by the time you
finish reading this article.
When you find a product that you would like to promote, press
on the "Create Hoplink", enter your nickname that you have
entered when joining Clickbank and create your affiliate link
(hoplink) which you will be marketing on the Internet at no
cost.
In order to make money online, you'll have to promote your
affiliate link by using any of the 3 methods that don't require
a website:
1) Forum posting
2) Article writing
3) Pay-per-click (PPC) search engine marketing
But before you can start using any of the above methods, I must
warn you that each of them requires your time and work. If you
think that it's easy money, you'd better go watch TV or keep
browsing the Internet.
But let me confess something: If you are like me, and if you
are ready to put some time and effort, in the next few minutes
you're going to learn how to transform your life and start
making cash on the Internet by marketing affiliate programs.
Marketing your affiliate link via forums
One of the easiest ways for beginners to earn affiliate
commissions is to post comments in forums related to the
product that you have chosen to market.
Now follow my path. All you have to do is go to your favorite
search engine and find online forums related to the theme of
your product. Create an account at each forum. Then go to
update your profile and create a signature with your Clickbank
hoplink. You can do that later after you have done some comment
posting and see how other marketers use their links in their
signatures.
Then you should browse the topics where you can provide useful
tips and answers to the questions that people ask. If you have
bought the product that you want to promote and you are happy
with it, you should tell others about it's benefits and how it
helped you.
Consider this that it's not enough to post a couple of comments
and expect to earn thousands in commission. You should select
several forums that interest you and keep visiting them and
posting comments for at least a month. Try not to sell your
product but help people. When you have posted hundreds of
comments, people will treat you as an expert and the sales will
start rolling in.
After you have spent some time posting comments to forums, you
should notice that some topics and questions are asked again
and again. If you already know how to help people, you should
start writing articles and promote your affiliate links in
them.
Affiliate marketing using article distribution
In order to get started you should visit some article
directories, for example:
http://www.ezinearticles.com or http://www.isnare.com
Find articles that deal with the topic of your product and read
them. Notice the "Author Bio" section at the end of most
articles? It's the place where you'll market your affiliate
link too.
But before you can start marketing, you should write your
article. It's really easy. Don't say that you cannot write. If
you can post comments in forums, you can write articles!
Simply, think about helping people, about the problems they try
to solve in forums.
Now take a sheet of paper and start writing. The articles don't
have to be long. Just describe the problem and how it should be
solved.
Then register with some article directories, write your "Author
Bio" section with your hoplink and submit your article.
For maximum results, try to write and submit at least one
article per day for at least one month. If readers love your
articles, they'll visit your link and buy from you. Webmasters
will publish your articles on their websites and newsletters.
At the end of the month you should see some affiliate
commission in your Clickbank account.
Pay-per-click search engine marketing
When you have received your first checks from Clickbank, you
should consider promoting your product using pay-per-click
search engines. However, notice that this method requires
payment for each click and may be quite complicated for
beginners.
Some PPC search engines may even give you a sign-up bonus of up
to $200, so it's worth doing a research online and signing up.
In order to increase your affiliate earnings, you should also
consider learning how to mask your affiliate links and how to
track which marketing methods provide the most revenue.
You should also try to join other affiliate networks and
promote different products and services.
As you can see, you can start making money online quickly, even
if you don't have any money or website. Don't give up too soon,
find and read more information about affiliate marketing and
your success is guaranteed!

Pay to read emails, surveys making money online!
by jmc, Jan 16, 2007
Tags: make money online paid to read emails surveys
Some would say reading emails or taking surveys online is not worth it. It is worth it sense the company paying is sharing its revenue. Take the time sign up and you will recieve a few emails per week and get paid for clicking on them. How 'get paid to read email' programs work? Simply, online advertisers pay commissions to the paid email companies for sending their advertisements via e-mail to members who want to get paid for reading emails. When you receive a paid e- mail, in order to receive your cash you should click on the link and visit an advertiser's web site.
Aside from affiliate programs paid to read emails is a good extra source of income.
Surveys are good source of extra income and provide good feedback for companies marketing products.
What is the average amount you will get when you are making money taking surveys? Well, companies will pay you between $1 and $20 per survey. It is really rare that you will make the $60 to $200 per survey that some companies claim. If you are looking for making money taking surveys in that range, you will be in for a surprise. Most sites will be able to offer you between 1 to 4 surveys per month. If you follow home business circles there are many other areas like mailorder, selling on ebay, and hundreds of different things you can sell to earn extra income.
Home publishing being an area many try they publish calenders, cards and many other nice items. Whatever you try dont rush into it and investigate and research your area before spending money.
Paid to read emails is a good area to earn extra cash, clicking on emails, reading them all the while the companys share ad revenue With you.
jim is an entrepreneuer and has been earning extra income from online for 10 years thru affiliate programs .
Where to start making money online?
We'll start with affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is basically an arrangement where a seller of a product or service pays commissions to affiliates in exchange for the affiliate referring sales or leads.
Pretty simple, right? That's not a trick question, it really is that simple.
Let me give you an example. If I was selling an ebook for $50, I might have an affiliate program in which I pay YOU (my affiliate) $25 commission for every sale you refer.
As an affiliate, you might place a link to the ebook on your website, or review the ebook in a newsletter, place a classified ad, or send traffic by a variety of different methods. Each time one of your referred visitors buys the ebook, I pay you a $25 commission. That's affiliate marketing.
There are also "affiliate program providers" which act as middlemen between the sellers and the affiliates. Some popular ones are ClickBank and Commission Junction, both of which we'll be talking about later.
affiliate program providers
Two of the MANY affiliate program providers that are compatible with my system.
Click bank Commision Junction
You can sign up with these companies as an affiliate marketer (also called a publisher), and take your pick of products to promote from a selection of thousands of products and services from thousands of sellers.
Being an affiliate marketer is an attractive opportunity because you can make a ton of money without keeping any inventory, dealing with customers, etc.
Remember, this is a hype-free page with no income claims, so I'm not going to tell you how much I make from affiliate marketing or force you to look at a bunch of screen shots of my earnings statements... so just trust me when I tell you that I make a lot of money from it, OK? Keep following the blog posts and soon youll see many links and information coming related to affiliate programs and products.
Pay-per-click advertising

Next let's take a brief look at pay-per-click advertising (PPC). Pay-per-click is exactly what it sounds like; it's a form of online advertising in which an advertiser pays for each click on a particular advertisement.
The most popular PPC providers include Google AdWords and Yahoo Search Marketing. Whether you're aware of PPC advertising or not, I guarantee that you've seen the ads before...
If you do a search on Google, Yahoo, or most other search engines, the listings that appear on the right side (and often the top) of the page are the PPC ads. If you click on one of those ads, the advertiser is charged for that click.
The great thing about PPC is that it allows virtually anyone with a website to start getting targeted traffic almost immediately.
It also opened up a huge door for affiliate marketers such as myself to easily and instantly promote products and services.
If you've been told you shouldn't pay for web traffic, then you haven't been given the full story. Yes there are ways of getting free traffic (SEO, free ads, etc), but most serious marketers know that targeted traffic is one of the most important investments for your business.
It's simply a numbers game. Suppose you use PPC to send traffic to a particular offer that pays $20 commission per sale. Let's say you send 100 visitors for 10 cents per click. That's an expense of $10, right? Now suppose just one of those 100 visitors buys the product and you make $20 commission...
That's a net profit of $10, which means you doubled your money. If you had the power to turn a $10 bill into a $20 bill, how many times would you do it?
Of course you would do it as many times as you could. Some people call it "click flipping".
I can't promise any particular rate of return on investment, but I am certain that it works. I know it works because my PPC ads are increasing my income right now as you read this.
It's great because you don't have to do a lot of work or invest a large amount of money to start doing it. You just have to do a little work up front to set up each campaign, and then you can reap the benefits of it for weeks, months, and sometimes years...more to come..

Articles and submitting them..
Article Writing: An Important Part Of Your Marketing Arsenal
Discover why if you are not writing articles you are missing out on what could possibly be the most important part of your marketing arsenal.
Unless you are totally clueless about the internet and how it works, you must realise that everyone trawling the net is searching for one thing and that is information, i.e. CONTENT!
In fact there is not really any other business building tool that compares with writing articles when it comes to building your online business, read on to discover why.
Regularly adding keyword rich quality articles on your website will help boost your search engine ranking, as search engines are always looking for updated content to add to their index. Also, other site owners are much more likely to link to you if you provide something other than just one long sales letter.
A constantly updated website with quality content will not only attract more people to your site, it will keep them there longer and will cause them to come back more often. If for example you have a site about health and fitness, would you not check back if the site was constantly being updated with more articles about how to get yourself fitter?
When it comes to FREE ways of generating traffic to your site, there are few that can compare to submitting your articles to article directories and ezine publishers. Simply include a “resource box” at the end of your article and away you go.
A resource box is simply a 3-6 line biography about you and/or your web-site it should include a link to your site or maybe even instructions on how to subscribe to your newsletter. An important point to remember when writing your resource box is to specify clearly that each article is to be reprinted ‘as is’ within your attached resource box.
This method of traffic generation can and will bring you a lot of traffic. Let us say for example you have written a great article about your favourite hobby, and an ezine with a subscriber database of 30-50,000 picks it up. Many of those subscribers will read your article, and if it’s a good quality one may well be intrigued enough to click the URL included in your resource box. That is totally FREE traffic for very little effort; it does not get much better than that!
It is also a good idea if you are adding articles you have written for your website to include a resource box on those articles too. This means that people who visit your site will be enabled to use your ‘copy’ with their sites too, as long as they include your resource box.
Articles can be easily used for generating newsletter subscribers. Simply take a group of related articles and compile them into a ‘special report’ that you then give away as a bonus for subscribing. In the same vein, add articles to an autoresponder sequence and give it away as an ‘email course’. In both cases sprinkle affiliate links throughout the text and link it to an autoresponder to create an “automated income stream”.
You may be aware that having a mailing list is one of the most important ingredients for a successful online business. But, having a list is not enough; you need to build up trust with your list. This is often known as ‘cultivating’ your list.
By regularly sending quality articles to your list you will become viewed upon as an expert in your business field, and build up a level of trust with your subscribers over time. The effect will be that your subscribers will be keen to take up your special offers, promotions and other products and services. The key is NOT to offer your list a product too early in the relationship, just so you can make a quick buck. A list of people that trust you is as good as money in the bank, you should not squander it!
After reading this article it should be clear that writing articles is a sure fire way to helping build your business a lot quicker. With the declining effectiveness of many of the other online marketing methods, article writing will continually prove its worth to YOUR business.

Starting an Ezine
With Your E-zine
by Alexandria K. Brown, “The E-zine Queen”
NOTE: Because many words in this article are likely to trigger sp^m filters, we've disguised them with symbols (e.g. sp^m). This will ensure a higher delivery rate if you use this article in your e-zine.
Have you been publishing an e-mail newsletter for at least six months but still aren't seeing real results (read: revenue) from it? Don't fret — you may just need a tune up. Here are five ways to kick your e-zine income into gear this year:
1. TOOT YOUR OWN HORN MORE
The adage goes, "If you don't blow your own horn, someone else will use it as a spittoon." If your focus is providing your readers with useful information that enriches their lives and businesses, bravo! That SHOULD be your focus. But now I want you to look out for yourself as well: Take at least 25 percent of your e-zine space and make it all about YOU.
Give promos for your services, products, books, workshops, etc. List raving testimonials from clients and customers who LOVE you. Weave your business success stories into your articles and tips. Share something funny about your weekend that makes me feel closer to knowing you personally. (For more self-promotion tips, see my article at http://www.ezinequeen.com/7ways.htm)
2. MAKE ME AN OFFER I CAN'T REFUSE
Let's suppose I'm one of your subscribers. Even if I realize you offer wonderful products and services, I may need a kick in the pants to make a move. To entice me, offer me a special, l1mited-time deal. Examples: three months' of consultation for the price of two, a 20% discount on your latest book or newest service, or one of your usual offers with a few exciting bonuses thrown in. Make the offer obsolete within a few days or by next week. By putting a time limit on it, I'll be more apt to act now instead of later.
Don't overlook how powerful this tactic can be. Some of my most profitable weeks have resulted from running a limited time, special pr0motion of this type in my e-zine.
3. PACKAGE IT AT A LOWER PRICE POINT
This is a super strategy for service professionals such as consultants and coaches. As your subscriber, I know the way to get the BEST service from you would be to hire you one-on-one, but perhaps I can't afford that right now. BUT consider that I may likely be interested in lower-priced options such as group coaching, teleclasses, online seminars, or a manual/e-book.
This is exactly how I became an e-book author. When I started my first e-zine, my main business was writing for corporate communications. After I gained a few thousand subscribers, I realized that my readers were mostly small business owners and entrepreneurs. So I began creating products and services geared toward them. And now I profit more from those each month than from my corporate work.
4. PROMOTE A PRODUCT/SERVICE THAT COMPLEMENTS YOURS
Do your readers and clients often ask you about a certain topic that's related to — but not exactly — what you offer? Then resell a resource that you heartily recommend and would put your reputation behind.
For example, while my specialty is e-zines, I get many questions about creating and selling information products online. So I continually research credible resources on this topic to share with my readers. Many of the creators of these products offer a handsome commission on any sales I refer to them. (I do this myself by paying out up to 25% commission on any referred sale. http://www.ezinequeen.com/affiliate.htm)
NEVER recommend any service or product to your readers that you haven't personally tried and wouldn't back 100 percent. Otherwise you'll blow the trust that you've worked so hard to build up in your readership.
5. SELL AD SPACE AS IT SUITS YOU
E-zine ads won't make you wealthy, but they can make for some handy extra c^sh. (I call it my "margarita money.") Most e-zines offer one sponsor ad at the top and several "classified" ads at the bottom. Sponsor ads typically cost three to five times more than the classified ad, but you'll see the ranges vary greatly.
Start by offering ad specials to your own readers. Then also list your e-zine in the many e-zine advertising directories on the Web. These services help match advertisers with appropriate publishers just like you. (Need help? My manual gives step-by-step instructions on how to accept and profit from ads in your e-zine.)
Remember that you have every right to be selective about the type of ads you accept. While your readers know these ads don't represent YOUR business, their quality will indirectly influence their perception of you.
REMEMBER THE *SILENT* BENEFITS OF YOUR E-ZINE
Keep in mind that even if you aren't getting direct business from your e-zine at this time, it's still delivering many benefits that may be less obvious. Your e-zine is helping to establish you as an expert in your field. It's giving you massive online exposure. You're gaining further credibility with your current clients and customers. And it's forcing you to package your knowledge into concise articles on a regular basis, which you can recycle for many other marketing uses.

Blog has been around for a period of time and it is getting more and more used by people for personal and business purposes. So what is a blog? A blog or weblog is a website that you write stuff on an ongoing basis. Blog is often used by people as a personal online diary. You can post news, updates or comment on a subject or topic on your blog. You can also write a series of tutorials to help and educate people if you are expert at something. There are no specified rules on what you should write on a blog. Below are some of the ways to make money by blogging:
Start Your Own Blog
You can get a blog absolutely free by joing Blogger.com. Creating a blog with Blogger.com is fast and easy as you don’t need to know HTML code. The most popular way bloggers make money with their blog is running an AdSense campaign to earn advertising revenue. To host Google Ads on your blog you first need to sign up for an AdSense=$$ account and you can get an AdSense account by following instructions in Blogger.com.

If you like to play games on the Web in your spare time, you may as well get paid for having fun!
There are Web sites that will pay their members to play games, read e-mails, and join online survey panels.
Credible sites include www.http://www.inboxdollars.com/?r=jmcsworld , http://www.sendearnings.com/?r=jmcsworld and www.mypoints.com. If you look for similar sites in a search engine, be sure to read the fine print regarding privacy policies.
Although you won't get rich with these sites, you may earn a little extra cash with very little effort.
For example, Inbox Dollars pays its members between 1 cent and 10 cents per e-mail read, 5 cents to 10 cents per free game played, and up to $4 for each online survey panel that members join. The average payment is 2 cents per e-mail. New members get $5 when they join and get another $5 for every friend they refer to the program.
Members can earn more if they win the games, as they compete against other members playing the same game. The sites also offer paid games that require payment — starting at 25 cents a game — but it is not necessary to pay for games to earn a little money.
Send Earnings is similar to Inbox Dollars, although new members receive $3 rather than $5.
Mypoints.com compensates members with points rather than cash, and members can redeem their points for a variety of retailer gift cards. Mypoints.com also rewards members with points when they shop online with participating retailers.
10 Ways To Protect Your Google Adsense Account:
1. Never ever click on your own ads on your website or blog. Google will identify and categorize these clicks as fraud clicks.
2. Never encourage your friends and family to click on the ads on your website or blog. Google will sniff those clicks and tag them as fraud clicks.
3. Do not tell your family and friends about Adsense on your website. Chances are they may start clicking on them to help you make money without you knowing it.
4. You may want to consider disabling ads for your own IP address and local geographic area. This will certainly prevent accidents and will not make Google mistake another user as you.
5. Sign up for a click tracking software, which will be able to show you the click out rate and details. This way, you can be the first to identify any abnormal ad clicking activity on your website and report your finding to Google Adsense before they discover it themselves.
6. Honesty is the best policy. Be truthful and confess to Google about times when you might have clicked on your own ads, whether accidentally or intentionally. Or the times when you have done something that is against the Terms of Service that they are implementing. Be honest about anything that you may have done that is wrong. Confessing is way better than Google learning about it eventually. Confessing might save your Google Adsense account from being terminated.
7. Read the Google Adsense Terms Of Service over and over again until you are extremely clear about what to do and what NOT TO DO.
8. When in doubt, drop them an email. The support center is really helpful and efficient, they will reply your email within a couple of days.
9. Never join any click exchange programs or use an automatic program to click on your ads. These will result in your account being terminated in no time.
10. Finally, study your Adsense Reports regularly. If you notice a high Click Through Rate (CTR), start investigating because that might be due to some fraudulent activity that you are unaware of.Another one i recommend is:

Sendearnings and reading email n doing offers.
People are constantly asking me for sources of legitimate and free "get paid to" programs. Personally, I kind of think that doing stuff like this is a waste of time, but so many people asked me about it I decided to put up this page.
Personally, I kind of think that doing stuff like this is a waste of time, but so many people asked me about it I decided to put up this page.
READ THIS! Some people earn NO money at all from "Get Paid" programs. Some people find them fun and do earn some extra spending money with them and get gift certificates for places they already shop.
There is no guarantee you will earn any money with any of the following programs. Again, I've included this list of the reputable "get paid to" programs because so many people asked for it!
I've included some tips & I've also indicated which ones are U.S. only and which ones are available internationally.
If you can you should set up a separate email for these programs.
All of these "get paid" programs are free. With the paid email programs, you can skip any offer that requires you to purchase something to get paid.
Of course it goes without saying that the more of these you join, the more you increase your odds of making money.
Get paid to read email programs (U.S. Only)
Important: Although the following list represents some of the most reputable programs available, I recommend you read the "Terms" (also called "Terms of Service") for any program you get involved in.
What you need to be aware of is that some companies have stipulations that basically state if they don't get paid by their client doesn't pay them you don't get paid either. So you should be aware that even though it may not happen often, it can happen, especially with paid email companies.
The following are two of the better get paid to read email programs. You can sign up for both...http://www.sendearnings.com/?r=jmcsworld

If you notice a high Click Through Rate (CTR), start investigating because that might be due to some fraudulent activity that you are unaware of.
Title: Where To Place Classified Ads To Build Your Business
Author: Robert Boduch
Article:
I happen to love classified ads as a way of generating new
business.
But simply "placing tiny classifieds ads in newspapers" does not
work for most business-type applications - despite what you may
have heard on those infamous infomercials.
If you're buying and selling items of personal property like
vehicles, furniture, antiques, or sports equipment -- newspapers
may be the natural choice for your "one-of" product. You're
bound to find someone who is interested in your offer. But as a
business owner, you're looking for numerous sales of your
product to a narrowly defined group of prospects.
Would it be profitable for you to advertise locally and/or
expand "nationwide" through hundreds of newspapers as some
profess?
My guess: No! Here's the reason:
Think of your typical newspaper. Now... why do people read it?
Everyone has their own preferences, but in general, readers pick
up the newspaper to peruse one or more of the following
sections:
* national news * international news * weather * sports * local
news * business news * special feature information * comics *
travel information * obituaries
Heck... some readers might even look forward to scanning the
classified ads to see what's new. But how many of these readers
are actual candidates for your product, business opportunity,
wonder gadget, or your amazing new health elixir?
Very few.
You see, newspapers attract a large cross-section of the general
population as a whole. So right off the bat, the percentage of
readers who are good potential candidates for your product, is
relatively low. These people are simply not good prospects for
your product.
Look... if you were in the market for a solution to a specific
problem, would you be scouting newspaper classified ads for that
special product that could change your life, business, finances,
or health forever?
Highly unlikely.
You'd probably start by choosing business magazines, trade
journals and carefully targeted newsletters. You might consult
with other business owners, or access online discussion groups
to solicit suggestions. But it's not very likely that you'd go
directly to the newspapers for this kind of thing.
Newspapers tend to reach everyone and "everyone" cannot possibly
be prime, grade-A prospects for whatever product you happen to
be offering.
The real value of magazine-type classified ads is that you're
able to specifically pinpoint your target prospect, based on the
subject matter and focus of each particular publication.
When someone responds to your ad in Entrepreneur for business
information, you can be fairly certain that they fit your
prospect profile. With this kind of a match, (product to
audience) your chances at success are far superior.

good morming vid and article on reading emaisl, offers
Ezine information
1. Give subscribe instructions in your resource box (used to end articles). Give a brief 1 or 2 line description of the benefits of subscribing to your ezine. Give specific subscribe url or email addresses. Give both options if available.
2. Give subscribe instructions in your signature file. Have several well tested signature files handy. When you see a name that you don't recognize or don't think is a subscriber, use this signature file.
3. Ask others to recommend your publication on their "thank you" page. This is most often done on an exchange basis. That is, you recommend good ezines and they reciprocate on their site. This works great because someone who has just signed up for one is ezine is very inclined to subscribe to other similar ezines.
4. Ask subscribers to pass on copies of your ezine to friends and associates. If it contains lots of useful information then they will. People like to pass on useful tips to friends.
5. Always include your subscribe instructions in every issue. This allows current subscribers to easily change the email they subscribed under. It also allows former subscribers to resubscribe when they come across an old issue. Finally, it allows those reading pass along copies to easily subscribe.
6. Exchange ads with other ezine publishers. Make these ads your well tested ads seeking new subscribers. Remember the ad must tell the potential subscriber "what's in it for me." If you offer more than one way to subscribe give them all. Some people perfer using email to subscribe, others prefer using an online form. Make it easy for the potential subscriber to use his preference.
7. Purchase ezine ads in carefully chosen publications. Again, make these your well tested ads seeking new subscribers. Code (key) the ad so that you can track results. Keep using the ads that work and stop using those that don't.
8. Swap editorial recommendations with other well written ezines. Personal recommendations get much better results than just plain ads. Since you are capitalizing on your readers familiarity and trust in you, don't recommend ezines that offer little real value.
9. Put a subscribe form on EVERY page of your website, if appropriate. The more chances a site visitor has to subscribe the more likely he is to subscribe. Ask them to subscribe in the page copy too! If one of the primary purposes of your website is to get new list members, place your subscription opportunity very prominently on your homepage.
10. Use a popup subscribe form to suggest to exiting site traffic that they subscribe. Use caution though, making sure that it does not annoy your visitors. Maybe use cookies so that repeat visitors don't keep getting the same popup. Also, note if the popup increases the number of subscribers. Note whether the popups decrease the number of site visitors you get. Use this to decide whether popups is right for your site visitors.
11. Send a short note to those requesting autoresponder reports, etc., suggesting they subscribe. Point out that they get valuable information (such as in the report) in every issue of your newsletter. Give them a REASON to subscribe. Maybe offer them a free ebook or bonus for subscribing.
12. Put a short blurb across the top or bottom of some of your autoresponder messages asking for subscribers. This works great if the report requested from the autoresponder was originally published as an ezine article. You can simply say that "to get similar valuable tips and information regularly, be sure to subscribe to our ezine."
13. List your ezine in every ezine directory that you can find - where it is appropriate. Take the time to come up with a good, benefits rich description of your ezine. Give specific subscription instructions. Since many ezine directories list ezines in alphabetical order, if you are just planning your ezine, choose a name that starts with letters near the beginning of the alphabet. Many people scan only the listings at the beginning of the directories. This will give you a marginal edge.
14. Turn articles and individual issues of your ezine into webpages. Add metatags, and submit these to the search engines. Be careful not to oversubmit though. You want to avoid spam penalties. However, ezine articles make excellent, content rich webpages.
15. Post copies of your ezine with useful articles on discussion boards. If you are going to post the entire issue, you should get approval from the board's owner first. You can also just post a note with a link to the entire issue posted on your site. Observe good discussion board netiquette. Often you will have written an article that very clearly answers a question. This is the perfect opportunity to post the article, or a link to the article.
16. Email authors of popular books on your area of expertise. Suggest they list your ezine in the resources section of the next revision of their book. Offer to send a sample copy so that they can see the quality of your ezine.
17. Always ask new contacts to subscribe. When someone emails you offering joint ventures, article submissions, or asking for more information, don't miss this opportunity. The most subtle way to do this is with a good signature block. However, when responding to their email, you should ask them to join your list.
18. Send electronic greeting cards which include an invitation to subscribe. This should not be the main part of the card though or you could be accused of spamming. However, when sending special occassion cards, etc, this is the perfect opportunity to let potential subscribers know that you offer a list that meets their needs.
19. Post ads in "discussion lists" specifically set up for this purpose. There are many lists at egroups/onelist that were set up specifically to allow subscribers to post ads. Advertise your ezine here. If the ads are written well enough you will get subscribers. Be prepared for a lot of email from posting to these groups. Note when the top posting to the email list was posted and submit your posting closes to this time to give your posting the best chance of being near the top. Most people who post to these list undoubtedly don't read most issues. However, you will get some subscribers using this method.
20. Seek subscribers offline. Enclose a business card advertising your ezine in letters to businesses, friends, etc. There are many different avenues here such as: - Have a printed blurb advertising your ezine on your stationery. - Advertise in inexpensive mailorder type newsletters. - Have advertising specialty items such as pens, calculators, keychain printed up. Give these out to appropriate parties in meetings, on airplanes, at parties, etc. Use discretion but don't miss golden opportunities to grow your list.

Where to find customers?..
An example of marketing on the Internet... Search engines are a very, very powerful way to obtain new customers, and they're practically free. They've brought me a thousand of customers over the years. If someone types in a specific phrase in a search engine and your product comes up in the first few entries, it's free advertising. I've gotten boatloads of quality sales leads just exactly this way.
But as we all know, it's not as simple as just throwing some information on a website and waiting for the orders to start coming in. There has to be a precise match between the words your customer is typing in, and the content on your website. It's a very strategic process and it requires that you know exactly what your customers are already looking for. That phrase that they type in Yahoo! or Google is part of the conversation inside their head. Tap into that conversation and your product will sell.

Yahoo Some people have nothing better to do than start rumours and/or cause users to do weird things. In most cases, the user who starts the rumour or hoax gets nothing from it.
Below I discuss some of people's hoaxes and/or rumours. Note: You may receive the text as a room message, a Private Message or in E-Mail. It doesn't matter where, they are all false. The sample text below may not be the exact text, but similar, as the messages vary between users.
General Points to remember about Yahoo! Yahoo! NEVER: * Communicate to its users via Private Messages. * Communicate to its users via Chat Room Text. * Send files to its users via File Transfer, E-mail, or any other way. * Ask via any form for users to re-submit their information. * Use geocities pages for logins, or use geocities pages to transfer files. ONLY: * Submit your information to Official Yahoo! Websites. Reinstate User Rooms Instant Message: After many month of deliberations, Yahoo has decided to reinstate the ability to create user rooms. This will be permitted only in areas marked as "adult content" areas. You must be 18 years old or over to access these areas. To be eligible for this service simply right click on the group name of your buddy list and select "Send Instant Message to All in Group". Paste this message into the box that appears and click the "Send" button. This will allow you to continue to view them on your buddy list once the new user room system upgrade takes place This is yet again another hoax where the aim is to just flood the system with unneeded messages. The only thing you will gain from sending on such a message is angry friends who want to know why their user rooms still don't work! - Thanks to o_fri3nd_o for passing on this hoax! Hard Drive Killers Instant Message: if somebody by name dvorak@yahoo.com adds you. dont accept it. Its a virus.
Tell everyone on ur bulletin because if somebody on ur list adds them, u get the virus too. Tell everyone on your list not to open anything from angell11, tewwtuler, and sassybitch. It is a hard drive killer and a very horrible virus.pass this letter to everyone on your buddy list. We need to find out who is really using these accounts.
Sorry for the inconvienience. Sincerely, Director of Yahoo Services, tanwir2001 Yet Another Hoax Somebody adding you to their list, or you adding them is not enough for them to harm you. You'd have to download from them, and you should NEVER do this unless you know the other user, and have communicated the file transfer with them in advance. Only 57 Names Left! Instant Message: the director of yahoo, Tim Buiski, Sorry for the interuption, but Yahoo is closing the system down because too many booters are taking up all the names, we only have 57 names left, if you would like to close your account, don't send this mesage, if you want to keep your account, send this message to everyone on your list. This is no joke, you'll be sorry you didn't send it. Thanks, Director of Yahoo, Tim Buiski, WHOEVER DOESN'T SEND THIS MESSAGE YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE DEACTIVATED AND IT WILL COST $10.00 A month to USE IT TO SEND It's exactly that, a Joke You won't be sorry for not sending it, you'll be sorry for sending it because all you will do is annoy your friends! Ignore all e-mails like this, there are too many variants to state here, but they are all hoaxes.
Email: Dear user of Yahoo.com, Some of our clients complained about the spam (negative e-mail content) outgoing from your e-mail account. Probably, you have been infected by a proxy-relay trojan server. In order to keep your computer safe, follow the instructions. Advanced details can be found in attached file. In order to read the attach you have to use the following password: 21685. Best wishes, The Yahoo.com team FALSE: Ignore this e-mail, do NOT open the attachment, and delete immediately. Email: Sample Text: DEAR YAHOO _User_, This* ema!l !nform You That your_ YAHO0 User ID (USERID@yahoo.com) _will_ be BL0CKED _after_ 23 days` (_as_ _after_ autoomateed reegisttration) _if_ You _will not s1gn up _on_ _Yahoo_ wh1te List (T0 signup - click HERE: http://USERID.yahoo.com/) This_is done beecause we` update _now_ _Yahoo_ N0T autoomateed reegistered account`s. 5J7Io4oFp I cannot suggest what the aim of this email. It's certainly not real. The spelling and grammar is awful. Delete the e-mail immediately, don't click the links or download any attachments. Rumour 1: Yahoo! are to Charge $10 a month for Yahoo! Messenger Sample Text: "Yahoo! is planning to charge Yahoo! Messenger as of . If you want to keep Yahoo! Messenger free of charge, please send this message to everyone you know. Each person who receives this message counts as one 'signature' of which Yahoo! requires 1,000,000 to stay free". Achieved: This is an old rumour, and has existed for other Instant Messaging platforms. The user who starts such a rumour gains nothing other than seeing gullible people going out of their way to send every user and every room a message like the above. It's also possible that Yahoo!'s servers get slightly more busy as people are trying to send everyone else the same message. Danger: NONE Rumour 2: A new type of buddy list! Just send a group message to 10 or more users! Sample Text: "Right click on your group name of your buddy list and check send this message to all the people in this group Copy this and send it to your friends in the group. If you send this msg to 10 people, a new type of buddy list will appear! It will tell you where someone is, who they are talking to, and if they have more than one screen name." Achieved: This is false, there is no such thing, even though the person sending you the message probably precedes the text with a statement such as "it actually works!". Again like the above, the user just hopes that the message somehow floods Yahoo! servers, and enjoys watching people unknowingly contribute more messages into the Yahoo! system. It's also possible under some conditions, sending such large amounts of messages could cause a temporary block on your account. Danger: In extreme circumstances, a temporary account lock. Rumour 3: Yahoo! recently lost your password, reply with your new password ... Sample Text: Achieved: If you fall for it, the user now has your username and password. They can log into your account, change the password and use it. A few things to note: 1. Yahoo! never ask for your password. 2. A Yahoo! employee has an email address in the form @yahoo-inc.com 3. You would never be approached by a Yahoo! Employee in a chat room. Danger: If you fall for it, you will lose your account to the users. Rumour 4: Variant of Above - Resource limits, all accounts deleted Sample Text: "Yahoo! resources are being stretched and many of our users no longer use their accounts. If you still use your account, you must reply to this message immediately will up to date information. If you do not reply, your account will be deleted by " Achieved: They hope you will reply to them with such information as password, secret question/answer, location etc... Danger: High if you submit your information. New Virus in Messenger - Must send all buddies an IM Thanks to 'Andrea' who sent us this one. Sample Text: Yahoo now has a virus in its 'yahoo messenging' system and it is now active on this server ...... By default if you don't send this message to everyone on your list......as soon as you delete this message a worm hole virus will enter your hardrive and slowly eat away at all of your files.
Achieved: Another method by which they wish for users to send numerous messages to each other. Although virus transfer is possible over messenger, only if you accept files (or other extreme circumstances). And another resource issue Thanks to 'Darlyne' who sent this one. Sample Text: Yahoo Alert: Yahoo is shutting down on August 17,2003 because they are running outta space and all the names are getting took up, so pass this around if you don't want your name to be deleted from Yahoo. If you don't pass this on, then your Yahoo will be shut down for good. Those that don't send, your name will be deleted August 17,2003, thanks, Yahoo Board Leader, Tom Buslowski So the Yahoo! leader speaks with words such as "outta" now in official correspondence? He also misses the ! off the Yahoo! name? No. Just another weirdo's idea of fun! Competition to Win a Laptop, Just $1 Sample Text: Hello, My name is Melissa Birch. Im a live rep here @ Yahoo! We have a contest going on where we give away a brand new Toshiba Laptop fully loaded which retails for over $4,999.95 Plus includes over $2000 in free software to one lucky chatter every 24hrs. Would U like to enter? If so, click here now & Send $1/per entry requested . UNLIMITED ENTRIES!..GOOD LUCK..u could be our next winner! We have your info on file If you're the winner we'll notify you via email! Achieved: They get $1 each time you fall for it - each time you think you are adding an entry. Yahoo! do not have reps in their rooms, nor do they run competitions using unofficial mediums such as Paypal and PMs. In fact, Yahoo! and HSBC are partners for the financial services offered to users, hence Paypal would not be used! I also draw your attention to the "Non Refundable Donation" item type in the link! If you fell for it, you will only lose what you paid, there is no risk of your CC details being transfered, or more funds being withdrawn. Danger: You lose $1 every time you submit your cc number via paypal. 1000 Questions Some users wont come out direct and ask for your password like in the rumours above, instead they pretend to be your buddy, asking you all sorts of questions. There aim is to get your location, date of birth, and answers to the secret questions. Why? If they have this, they have enough information to apply for a new password, when they click the "Forgot My Password" links. By pretending to be your friend, and have common interest, they hope to get the details they require by working down the list of possibilities. I will help you - what's your password? A user either pretends to be from Yahoo! or just states that they need your password to help with your problem. Find this type of user in help rooms. They will look for users needed problems, offer help, then take your password.
You will receive no further help. You will most probably find your account taken after you logout too. AOL USERS AOL 8.0/9.0 appears to be causing you problems with profiles and links, here is the fix (if you want to use Internet Explorer or Netscape, ignore this post, and move to the appropriate method). If this didn't fix it, that's ok, 20% of the time it doesn't, just do Method 1 instead below: To Top Method 1 - All Users - This will reset any custom settings to the programs tab. (1) Goto start>>settings>>control panel>>Internet Settings. Select "reset web settings" (2) In the confirmation box, Uncheck "Also Reset My Homepage", and select ok. If you previously had customised which e-mail client or other program you use, you may have to select these from the boxes at the top of the programs tab. This applies mostly to AOL users who need to set e-mail client as AOL. Method 2 - Internet Explorer users 1) If you use Internet Explorer, goto tools>>internet options>>programs and at the bottom, place a check by "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser". 2) Open a new internet explorer window in the normal way, if it asks if you want to make internet explorer the default, select "yes". 3) Restart Yahoo! If you do see "open" click "edit..." and ensure all the boxes match the data above from step (3) onwards. Why does this work? This part of the registry deals with the API calls a programmer makes to launch a link, instead of launching a browser with a paramater, they send a command to launch a URL, windows then deals with this using the specific information a Adult Profiles Compiled based on information from BigBlueBall/TechGuy forums To view an adult profile you must be, (1) An Adult - Over 18 (2) Not in the UK The Yahoo! UK & Ireland stopped access to User rooms, Adult rooms and Adult profiles to its UK accounts. If you have a UK Yahoo! account, adult profiles will not work. If you have a USA Messenger with a UK Yahoo! account you will be able to access User rooms and adult rooms. Possible Fix Go to chat.yahoo.com, sign in, and select "Account Info" in the upper right. Look for "Member Information" and click the "Edit" button to the right of it. Now under "General Preferences" you will see the current language, click it, then update your language to another English version, NOT uk or u URL Not Found On Server To read about transparent proxies, click Here. This error appears to lie in a cached error, possibly Yahoo! was in a state of error, and something has been cached by proxies. For Shaw Cable follow Fix1. For NTL follow the NTL fix. For NetZero follow the NetZero Hispeed fix. Fix1: If you use DSL/Cable: Start, Settings, Control Panel, Internet Options. Select "connections". Then click "Lan Settings...". In that box, uncheck "automatically detect lan settings".
This option automatically sets up a proxy on your connect if your ISP has it set up like this, unchecking this will stop a proxy being used. Fix2: If the above fails, it's possible your ISP, especially smallers ISPs, route all traffic through a proxy as default, even when you haven't selected one. Press the "refresh" button in your browsers when you get the error, this should send a header telling servers not to receive from a cache. Fix3: If all those fails, use tty's lookup page: Here If that fails, use this Proxy Profile Viewer produced by myself: Here Fix4: If your ISP proxy cache is outdated, it might have the wrong IP. You can fix this by adding it to your hosts file. Go to start, run, and type "notepad c:\windows\hosts". You might already have entries. Scroll right to the bottom, add a new line. Enter 66.218.75.148 then a tab, then profiles.yahoo.com Fake Yahoo! Login Forms If you came here to recover a lost password, click here for info ID Stealing For too long, people have been creating clones of Yahoo! Login pages, and changing the page to send YOUR password and username, unencrypted to their e-mail addresses. Once they get your username and password, they change your password, and lock you out of your own account. Unfortunately, this appears to be on the increase. What the pages look like The pages are an exact copy of Yahoo's Log in pages. From looking at the page, no difference, all the links link to valid Yahoo! Pages. It uses the official Yahoo! Logo (Which is a registered trademark of Yahoo! Inc.) If in doubt, go to http://edit.yahoo.com/ and log in there, this sets your cookie for all Yahoo! Services. You should not be requested for your ID again. How to tell a bad page There are a number of ways to tell, first, look in the address bar of your browser. Browser Address Bar Safe Login If it is something like the above, and starts with edit.yahoo.com or login.yahoo.com then it's safe. Unsafe Login If it's something like the above, its BAD. Only the main page geocities.yahoo.com is a valid login page for Geocities. Right Click Properties As an extra check, right click on the page, select properies. Look for address(URL): xxxxxxxxxxxx. Where xxxxxxxxxxx is the URL. Again, it should be one of the good ones from above. If you right click, and (1) Nothing happens, OR (2) You get a no right click message, this is a sign it's BAD. Form Submission Edit>>View source. Now look for the What to do if you find a bad page Report it to (1) Yahoo! and (2) The website host. If you don't report it, remember someone else may be fooled by the page in question! Yahoo!: http://help.yahoo.com or chat-help@yahoo.com or cc-advoc@yahoo.com If it's a Yahoo! Geocities Page: http://geocities.yahoo.com/v/alert.html to report it. Edit Profile Pictures Editing Profiles To find out how to edit other profile entries, or how to get to the picture area, see our editing profiles page. Choose a Yahoo! Picture You can use one of Yahoo's cartoon type pictures. Once you have clicked "Edit Picture", you are presented with a gallery of them. Select the picture you like, by placing a check in the circle and then selecting "Change Picture" to save changes. Upload From Your Computer This lets you take a picture from your computer you have saved earlier, and put it onto your profile. For Animated GIFs, see below!!! File Types: Only .jpg is accepted for upload File Sizes: Don't make your images too large, large images take too long to download. Save your image at 72dpi. Once you have selected "Upload From Your Computer" you are presented with the box to enter the file name, such as c:\myimage.jpg . If you don't know the exact location, select "Browse" and find the image, and select open. Enter the confirmation code into the box, and click "Upload" this may take some time. Link to an image on the web Yahoo! removed this feature in June/July 2003 for security reasons. If you have a profile that currently uses an image on the web, it will still work though! Animated Gifs If you upload an animated GIF to your profile, it will not animate. Yahoo! stopped this. Yahoo! photo Albums Select "Yahoo! Photos" to use an image in your Yahoo! Photo Album. You will be taken to your album, find the picture you wish to use, and select "Use Photo". This will set your profile picture to that photo. Yahoo Messenger For a long time, Yahoo! Messenger (or Yahoo! Pager as it was called), was simply another contacts list program, similar to that of MSN.
It didn't feature any extra features like Chat Rooms or WebCams, but has had voice chat for a while. Over the last year, Yahoo! Messenger came with it's own chat client for accessing Yahoo! Chat Rooms, and since version 5.0, it comes with webcams, more smileys, and IMVironments! How Yahoo! Messenger works Yahoo! Messenger works on the Yahoo! ID. This is the same for your Yahoo! Email, your Yahoo! Profile and Yahoo! Chat etc... You simply log into the messenger service using your existing Yahoo! ID and password. Since version 5.5, users can be known as anything they like, through the nickname system. What this allows is for you to use any name you like, but please remember your real ID is sent along with it, and is visible to all users. The Yahoo! ID The Yahoo! ID must contain only letters, numbers and underscores and nothing else. My ID for example, is freddy18uk. Although you might sign up with capitals in the ID, it will only show as lowercase. It may not start with a number, begin or end with a _, or have two or more consecutive _s. Abusive terms, and words like Yahoo are also not allowed within the ID. The nickname practically allows anything. The Nickname You can use a nickname instead of your normal ID in Yahoo! Chat. Users of the chat2.0 and Messenger service will see your nikcname rather than your Yahoo! ID. The nickname is not as strict as user IDs, and you can use the same name as somebody else. How it differs from MSN, ICQ, AIM etc... There are many ways in which it differs. Firstly most of the above don't have chat rooms integrated within the messenger software. Also, Yahoo! Rooms do NOT have moderators of any type, user or official. And although users can create their own rooms, they have no authority over who can and cannot chat in their room. What is an IMVironment IMVironments are like interactive scripts within the Instant Messenger windows. They provide backgrounds, and features, such as throwing snowballs, some even contain games, such as chess. They come with more smileys and sounds. Where to download If you haven't already, Yahoo! Messenger may be downloaded from http://messenger.yahoo.com (for US users), replace the .com with your international code for other users. Please note international versions are usually behind.####Thanks to: helpbytes for the information.http://www.helpbytes.co.uk/ YahELite - http://www.yahelite.org YahEh - http://yaheh.chat-help.co.uk/ My!Chat - http://mychat.fxscripts.com Yah-Too - http://www.geocities.com/trolling_around Y!Chat - http://www.ekriirke.com/YChat YaZak - http://messy.zak.2ya.com
